Re: Pad Thai - where?
i second that, my thai has actually got worse since i've been here.
i speak english all day at work, go home.... my dog only responds to english (its natural language), and most times i try to "practice" my skills I am met with blank faces, mainly because the thais are expecting to hear english so are thrown when they hear thai (even bad thai).
would be nice to learn, but learning means spending time praticing, time i do not have.
I could speak it in the class but that defeats the object of teaching english.

Re: Pad Thai - where?
Up the road past Tesco, same side as T in Lot s (they need to get them lights fixed).
There is a set of food stalls there run by people living in the nearby houses.
In the back 2 corners there are people doing drinks. Right between them is a woman that cooks all sorts and does a really nice Pad Thai for about 20 baht.
I usually have 2 helpings with a fried egg on top and them crumb things that I call biscuit crumbs.
