Singha, big bottles ... only B65 .... in the UK :)

Post by Admin on Wed Jun 08, 2011 7:02 am

Beer/cider is cheap in the UK, very cheap. Sure, pub prices can be expensive but the supermarkets have very good deals on. 48 large cans of beer or cider for only £25! That's cheap, less than ...... ah, you do the maths! Anyway, was in Sainsburys the other day, big bottles of Singha £1.35 (approx B70) = happy person. :)

However, in a pub/restaurant a small Singha will cost £3.50+ (B175). Chang here too but it's mostly used by the local garages as an alternative to gearbox oil or a rust repellent or something like that !

Cheers

Start shipping it over Admin.

There are a few web sites where people can order shopping to be done in the UK adn sent out to other coutries - VERY expensive though.

If you could undercut them, you'd made a tidy packet. - stuffbackhome.com is 1 example. Clearly this is just 1 guy, or 2 or 3 people that just walk down to tesco and send the stuff out here and tripple their money in the process.

He would not know the difference Cheezy only joking Admin.... .. TAX ON BEER IS HIGHER HERE AS YOU KNOW.....
70 baht for Singha ( big bottle ) is the starting price for the bars here. less if you drink at home... how about sending some cider over as its raining has suggested??? i can only get it at Hat Yai or Phuket.. and the starting price is 135 baht per can.

Got all kinds of weird ciders here now. I sell good ol'e Strongbow on tap and in bottles have Bulmers Original and Pear, Kopperburg (Swedish cider?) in all bloody flavours ......Draught £2.90 and bottles £4.

As for petrol, £1.27/litre (unleade) at Tescos, diesel is slightly more .... not too bad unless you have a gas guzzler .... Whistle

So basically, if you're looking to save some cash, head down to Tesco and drink unleaded instead of cider..... just don't start anything, alright?
